CLICK above: Listen and watch this Youtube performance of the fourth movement of Anton Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 ("From the New World), movement four. (Duration: 11:58)
In no less than 1000 words, describe what you saw and heard from the orchestra.
Use the counter to note where changes in the music occur (ex: "at 1:33 the work changes from fast to slow" or "at 3:45 the work changes from romantic and sweet to bombastic and mysterious" or "at 8:03 the oboe has a short solo"). Note: use numerical numbers as in the example above; do not spell out the numbers.
In your paper you MUST note the THREE following changes as they occur from the beginning of the video until the end.
You may use MORE time-stamps but you must use these times as you describe what you hear (recordings may be "off" 1 or 2 seconds).
Put the numerical timestamp at the left margin then describe what you hear at each.
YOU MUST USE ALL OF THE TIME STAMPS LISTED BELOW.
